I know a lot of travel titles are at a loss regarding what's now right to write about. Before we knew anything about Coronavirus, I was commissioned to profile @ninaflohr for @robbreport's new @musebyrobbreport publication, which highlights female-centred stories in the world of luxury. Nina is the founder of @bcssmz, a non-profit marine research facility and ocean observatory in Mozambique, as well as the properly incredible forthcoming, neighbouring eco sanctuary @kisawasanctuary, and is one of five Eco Warriors highlighted in the new issue - this first slide is the cover.
It's turned out to be a prescient series from the Muse team, given we're all likely to travel that bit more mindfully and gratefully when this is all over; I've been really impressed by what Nina's trying to achieve in Mozambique and, as she said in our interview, it's a destination where tourism makes a vitally important economic contribution. Though things are really rubbish right now, I think lots of other positive stories will emerge in the wake of all this and I'm looking forward to learning about them and hopefully reporting on some of them.
Other Eco Warriors profiled in the magazine (and soon online I believe) include The Explorations Company's Nicola Shepherd, @brune.poirson, the team at @snohetta for @svartglacierhotel, and @queenofraw co-founder @thestephaniebenedetto. Thank you for having me as a contributor @jackiecaradonio and @jillnewman.
